A black tea from Yunnan with a distinctive tight spiral shape. Inspired by the famous green tea Bi Luo Chun, or “Emerald Spirals of Spring”, its leaves are fully oxidised for a warmer, richer character. It is made with first-grade spring material: a terminal bud and a pair of young leaves. The abundance of downy buds gives the tea its “gold” name. Warm notes of honey, baked bread and a little dried apricot unfold in the cup.
