Feng Huang Dan Cong literally means “single bush from Phoenix Mountain”: each batch uses leaves from a single tea tree without mixing trees, giving it an individual character. Gaoshan means “high mountain”; temperature changes, mist and distinctive soil help the leaves develop aromatic compounds. Qing Xiang means “clean, fresh fragrance”, a style with a pronounced yet light, fresh aroma. Spring flowers—honeysuckle, narcissus and hyacinth—meet a spicy chicory note. The characteristic Dan Cong bitterness gives way to sweetness.
