In China tea is held to carry yin energy and ginseng yang; ginseng oolong was made to balance the two. The leaf looks like little pebbles because ginseng root and liquorice powder are added at the rolling stage. The nose is sweetness and tropical fruit; the taste is sweet enough to seem sugared. The first pours are led by ginseng, then it steps back and the oolong itself comes through.
