Jing Lan Yixing Clay Teapot

Yixing clay · 180 ml

Jing Lan means “well railing”. According to a Qing-period legend, Mansheng saw a maid bending over a well to draw water. The well surround suggested a teapot body, while her curved posture suggested its handle. The clay makes this teapot well suited to heavily fermented or oxidised teas, including ripe pu-erh, some oolongs such as Da Hong Pao, and black tea.
