Han Bian Yixing Clay Teapot

Han Bian means “Han-style flat”. The shape recalls traditional Chinese architectural elements, such as flat roof tiles from the Han period. It is considered a demanding form to make: during firing, the heavy upper part can warp and sink into the body. A well-made example is often a sign of a potter’s skill.
