Why we do this
Tea is not only a strict ceremony. It is also a reason to experiment
At Chaynya you can take your time and work out how one tea differs from another. We can brew two side by side, compare aroma and taste, and help you choose the one you prefer.
So we do not lecture you on the canon and we do not ask for silence. Want it brewed in an unusual way? We will brew it that way. Want the Chaozhou ceremony, where the pot is packed full and the tea drunk from tiny bowls? Say so and we will run it.
Tea services
Your tea master introduces the aroma, history and brewing of each tea, filling the room with cha qi — the spirit of tea. A welcoming choice for a first visit, a date or a gathering with friends.
We provide a table, teaware, water at the right temperature and a little guidance to get you started. Then you brew at your own pace, undisturbed. For guests who already enjoy brewing tea.
We bring tea, teaware and a master to a company event, presentation, wedding or private gathering. The format and guest count are tailored to the occasion.
The room
A comfortable, intimate space for small groups. Seven guests take the whole room, making it a natural setting for birthdays and quiet get-togethers.

Giving treasured teaware a longer life
We restore clay, porcelain and other teaware using kintsugi and other suitable repair methods.
Terms
Each request is agreed individually. A photo allows a preliminary assessment only. The final price is fixed after an in-person inspection. Before work begins, we agree the repair method, price and timing. If repair is impossible or impractical, we will tell you before starting.
We will contact you to discuss whether repair is possible.

For business and events
We supply loose-leaf tea to venues and offices, build tea menus, and hold off-site ceremonies at your location.
We match teas to your menu, format and budget, calculate cost per serving, and deliver on a schedule.
A master brings the tea and teaware to a company event, presentation, wedding or private gathering. We agree the programme, duration and guest count in advance.

How supply works
We come to you with a set matched to your format and brew it on the spot. Free, takes about an hour.
We build a menu around your kitchen and prices, and cost out a cup and a pot so you know your margin.
Deliveries on a schedule. If a tea runs out early, we bring more separately.
What we ship
White and green tea, GABA, oolongs, black tea, pu-erh and pressed tea. If an item is not currently available, we will check the supply and agree the exact batch before the order.
